Twinlight vows
Swear a lasting partnership with a trusted friend before Maelis in Firstlight Square.
2 minute read · Development preview guide
Swearing the vow
- Become friends in Social → Friends. Both of you need a saved account and level 10.
- Stand within three tiles of Maelis the Vowkeeper in the north-east corner of Firstlight Square and open Twinlight vows.
- Propose to your friend. They have one minute to accept beside Maelis, or to decline from Social → Friends.
- Each partner pays 1,000 game gold, taken only when the vow is recorded.
What the vow gives
- A Twinlight Ring keepsake: no stats, never an inventory item.
- The public title Twinlight of your partner, and ∞ beside your name.
- Shared hunts: in the same party within 12 tiles, when your partner dealt at least 15% of a creature's health, the credited hunter gains +5% XP (rounded down), up to 10 × level bonus XP per UTC day. Never gold, loot, contracts, quests, bounties or the Rift Warden.
- Nothing moves between partners, and vows give no ASCEND eligibility.
Ending a vow
Ending is always free: End vow in Social → Friends or at Maelis (your partner need not be online, and the friendship stays), or remove or block them. Either way both of you wait one day before a new vow, and the ceremony fee is not returned.
Fair play
Characters under review cannot swear and earn no bonus. A second character that only taps a creature earns nothing, because the partner must deal a real share of the fight.
